On Wednesday, June 21, the first Louis Vuitton runway show was held with the new creative director: Pharrell Williams. The internet exploded after seeing this impressive show, Pharrel really made his debut with this show. With a backup band, a gospel choir and an army of models. How could the other luxury labels on the agenda in the coming days ever be comparable?

The biggest celebs were also spotted during the show dressed in Louis Vuitton. Rihanna with the baby bump and baby daddy Asap Rocky stole the show, not to mention Queen Bey who was seen again for the first time in years at a catwalk show in her breathtaking yellow dress with husband Jay-Z who also performed after the show with one of his most famous songs “N*ggas in Paris”

The Spring/Summer men’s collection is inspired by the energy of the sun and is mainly focused on tailoring, with clothing that is relatively tightly cut. But note that although the clothing is cut cleanly, the clothing items were made less formal by other factors, such as square leather car jackets, blazers cut to waist length and military-inspired overcoats drenched in Pharrell’s new “Damoflauge” (Damier pattern camouflage)

Also known as Monogram

What is your opinion on this collection? I find it a great source of inspiration for my next jobs!

A black blazer, it’s something everyone has in their closet but most people forget about it or don’t know how to style it anymore. That’s why I summed up a few tips how to style a black blazer in multiple ways.

  • Classic Elegance: For a polished and sophisticated look, pair your black blazer with a white shirt, tailored trousers, and high heels or pointed-toe flats. To spice it up a little bit add a statement belt to accentuate your waist and complete the look with accessories, the accessories define the outfit for this look choose for simple accessoires like a small hoop earring or a tennis bracelet.
  • Casual Chic: Transform your black blazer into a trendy casual outfit by teaming it up with a cool top, like a sports top or crop top, some oversized jeans, and some nice loafers. Roll up the blazer sleeves for a relaxed feel and add some accesories like a cap and jewellery. Complete the look with a cool bag and oversized sunglasses for an effortlessly cool and laid-back vibe.
  • Edgy Glamour: Last but not least, make a statement by combining your black blazer with some oversized low waisted shorts. Pair it with a fitted top or an cropped blouse, and finish off the edgy look with some high knee boots or metallic heels. Accessorize with bold statement jewelry, such as chunky bracelets, earrings, and big rings to add a touch of glamour and attitude.

Time to wear your blazers in a different way, which one would you wear?

What is art to me as a creative person and why does it inspire me so much in terms of styling and creative direction?

First of all I would like to say that I see art as a very big concept, I think creating a certain feeling through images, that is art for me. That’s why artists like Jean-Michel Basquait inspire me.

He was a neo-expressionist and started out in the art profession as a graffiti artist. He is known for his “explosive” with a childishly sensitive artwork.

Going back to the question I asked at the beginning of the text; What is art to me as a creative person and why does it inspire me so much in terms of styling and creative direction?

To take Basquait as an example again, he took inspiration from things that happened in his life like when he was 15 years old he ran away from home, the loss of his best friend and mentor Andy Warhol, the discrimination he experienced and his excessive drug use which eventually killed him.

Life experiences but all so beautifully translated into images and that inspires me for my work as a stylist and creative director, creating images with feeling.
